Wanting Her in January
felt like poetry today.. so here is a little free style flow...
three different sisters come to mind.. thoughts can always be freaky enough to want to go there.. where ever there takes us...
it isn’t necessary to move in timed steps
like the beat of base line
vibrating tinted windows
city streets be callin for synchronized beats
construction beats
feet beats
car going over steel plates beats
the tap tap tap of my djembe beats
new level of communication
in this man’s Africa
one queen be passin by
her perfume wearin
sexy smellin smilin brown eyed ebony
wearin long black coat
protecting her from January’s winter heat
that heat that’ll chill your bones away
and every dog got one
but it doesn’t necessarily like to be out in the cold
only tucked in to summertime goodness
like her puttin music to pavement with her walk
her
only need five minutes of her talk
her
all the rest of the time put in
is just from me to you
to show her
that king’s need love too
but that January winter heat be timin
me wishin for fireplaces
in old row houses
kindling with the sounds
of cracklin logs
illuminating that rug
just in front
my body covering her
like a blanket her
body snuggled inside
my grasp like
I am
wanting to be protected from the cold
last amen
warm your hands on my chest
the shiver i feel from your touch
is enough
to keep me wanting your touch
and maybe that’s a bit much
in the mere minutes we have spent alone
learnin not to bring my heart
children of slaves
not meant to know love
just countless heartbreaks
makin a path to the her
I wanna cry
but no tears come
in the absence of one
brown silk brings natural high
to bodies temples
one step from heaven
but layin closer to hell
spiritually
I look to see
a womb
who’s eyes
call me
writin love letters
on dotted lines
crossin my I ssss and T ssss
Like my eyes are teased
by her
chocolate brown tease
layin law from her birthday
suit from her head to her knees
just imaginin heels on these
feet
are like wantin to eat
little drops of honey
but rather than feelin these
words solidify into
a new birthday
9 months from tastin these
tonight
I just close my eyes
trustin her
release
and see the light
and it was good
