On the road by 5am
Didn’t realize I hadn’t updated the blog in so long… On the road to North Carolina, Fayetteville will be on the road by 5 am if everything goes smooth. Arrival time 6 hours.
They’ll be 3 adults and my son’s accompanying me. All FAM. Heading to a reunion.
I always get to recite (Aka Spit) some poetry in front of the family. It’s all good. That was the first place I recited 3 years ago. I actually didn’t really spit for the first two years that I wrote poetry. I started spitting sometime around late 2001 early 2002 I forget the day or the date. I have to call my Kung fu brother Mo in Sac. Cali. He would’ve thought he was in slam poetry. Representing the Cali team. He has even told me he has hung with some of DC’s own finest Sonya Renee (HORAAAY!) and in the past Queen Sheba.. She’s close to DC… Small world FOR REAL! If anyone can convince me to develop a slam style of poetry it would be MO.. Dang If I didn’t forget his poet’s name..
Looking forward to going to see family. It’s always all good there. Getting to that age I need to travel more. Ok my author name is Christo Diata my poetry slam name is DC Tiger… If I decide to slam which name should I go by MMMMM or perhaps a new poet name Christ to Lion.
Really have had a interesting week in the love and wanting to be loved department. But that’s for another time and poem. Life is so unique. I never know what’s going to happen and where.
